STACKD

Terms & Conditions

Last updated 11 October 2026

STACKD is operated under ABN 54122728362, Australia ("STACKD", "we", "us" or "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the STACKD app.

Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or playing STACKD, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Who can use STACKD

You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age to use an app like this in your country) to use STACKD. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms for you and has allowed you to use STACKD and to make any purchases.

The game itself

Puzzle days and streaks

Each puzzle day runs from midnight to midnight Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC+10, all year, with no daylight saving), wherever you are. Your streak counts consecutive puzzle days you have finished and resets if you miss a day. Your streak, free coins and unlocked rewards are stored on your device, so if you delete the app or change devices they may be lost; items you bought can be restored with “Restore purchases”.

Coins and purchases

Themes, bundles and rentals

Limited-edition rewards (Gold Plasma)

The Gold Plasma theme is a free reward for playing STACKD on 30 puzzle days in a row. It cannot be bought, has no cash value and cannot be transferred. You must claim it in the app by the end of 31 January 2027 (Australian Eastern time); once claimed, you keep it. Your streak and your claim are stored on your device, so if you delete the app or change device you may lose the streak or the claim. We may withdraw or correct a reward given because of a bug, cheating or fraud.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed through the relevant platform and are also subject to that platform's own payment and refund terms. Except where required by applicable law or platform policy, purchases are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Fair play

Don't cheat, exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage, use automated tools/bots to play, or attempt to manipulate the leaderboard or coin balance. We may remove scores, rewards, or virtual items obtained through cheating, exploitation, fraud, or payment reversal. Where access is suspended or terminated for this reason, the treatment of any legitimately purchased virtual items remains subject to applicable law and platform requirements — we won't automatically confiscate coins you legitimately paid for just because an account is suspended for an unrelated reason.

Errors and corrections

We may correct scores, puzzle results, coin balances, or rewards where a software error, duplicate transaction, or technical malfunction has caused an incorrect result. We won't intentionally remove legitimately earned or purchased items without a valid reason.

Leaderboards, names and community content

Intellectual property and licence

STACKD and its software, visual design, artwork, game mechanics, original content, branding, and other intellectual property are owned by or licensed to us. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use STACKD for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

STACKD uses its own supported word list for gameplay. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed from Mattel, Hasbro, or any Scrabble-related trademark owner.

App Store licence terms

Where you downloaded STACKD from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement governs the software licence itself, in addition to these Terms, which govern the game and service. This agreement is between you and us, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for STACKD. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect (a random player ID, your display name, your results, purchase records and basic technical data), who can see it, who we share it with and how to ask for deletion. You can also open it in the app from Menu → Help & about.

No warranty

STACKD is provided on an "as available" basis. We don't promise that the app will always be uninterrupted or free from errors. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, STACKD is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Support and complaints

If you experience a technical problem, believe a purchase hasn't been credited correctly, or want to make a complaint, contact stackd.help@gmail.com. Please include your player ID (Menu → Help & about), puzzle number, and any relevant screenshots where possible. We aim to respond within 24 hours, though complex matters may take longer.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to STACKD for breach of these Terms, or discontinue the app entirely, at any time. You can stop using STACKD at any time by deleting the app.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the "last updated" date above will change and, for material changes, we'll flag it in the app or by another reasonable means of notice.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia and applicable Commonwealth law. If you live somewhere that gives you mandatory consumer rights that can't legally be excluded, those rights continue to apply.
