STACKD is operated under ABN 54122728362, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the STACKD app collects, who can see it, who we share it with, and how to ask us to delete it. You can contact us at stackd.help@gmail.com.
STACKD is designed to collect as little as possible:
We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location or advertising identifier. STACKD shows no third-party advertising and has no analytics or crash-reporting tools of its own. Our purchase provider (RevenueCat) and, on Android, Google’s Play Games service may collect technical and diagnostic information about how the app is working, as described in their privacy policies. The optional daily reminder is a notification scheduled on your own device; nothing about it is sent to us.
STACKD is a shared daily puzzle, so results are public by default. Unless you turn the switch off:
How to turn it off: open the Leaderboard screen, choose Public Top 10, and set “Discord Leaderboard” to Off. After that, new results are not sent to the public leaderboard or Discord, so you also won't appear in the in-app Top 10. Results that were already shared stay visible until they are deleted; to have them removed, see “Your choices and rights” below.
Private groups. If you join a private group, your results are shown to that group's members. In current versions of the app, turning the switch off also keeps your group results off the public leaderboard and Discord; with the switch on, group results are counted on the public leaderboard too. In older versions of the app, group results can appear on the public leaderboard whatever the switch says — please update the app. Anyone with a group's join code can see that group's names, scores and (for past days) words, so share a code only with people you trust.
Apple Game Center and Google Play Games. Separately, the app submits your daily score to the Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android) “Daily Score” leaderboard. That leaderboard is run by Apple or Google, shows the profile name you use there, and is not controlled by the switch above. You can manage it in your Game Center or Play Games settings.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.
These providers are mainly in the United States, so your information may be handled outside Australia and, if you live there, outside the UK or European Economic Area.
We currently keep leaderboard entries, wallet records and purchase records for as long as the game runs, unless you ask us to delete them. Records of purchases and refunds may be kept longer where needed for tax, fraud-prevention or legal reasons. Our hosting provider keeps server logs for a limited period. Messages already posted in Discord stay in that server until they are removed.
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. In the app, open Menu → Help & about to see your Player ID, then email stackd.help@gmail.com with that ID (we need it to find your records; without it we can only look up a display name, which isn't unique). We reply within 30 days.
When you ask for deletion we will remove your scores, display name, group entries, wallet and theme records from our servers (including the older server), ask RevenueCat to delete its customer record, and remove Discord posts about you where we are able to. We may have to keep limited records — for example that a purchase and refund took place — for tax, fraud-prevention or legal reasons. We cannot delete data held by Apple, Google or Discord themselves.
If you are not satisfied you can complain to us, or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data protection authority.
STACKD is not for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, please use STACKD with a parent or guardian's permission, especially before making purchases or choosing a name. If you believe a child under 13 has given us a name or other information, email us and we will delete it.
The app talks to our servers over encrypted connections. No online service is perfectly secure, so please don't put sensitive information in your display name, group name or emails.
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change and, for material changes, we'll flag it in the app.
